Internal Skimmer 400i, Deltec

The new innovative Deltec "i" internal skimmers with the Adjustable DC pump , incorporate a new emergency system to prevent overflow of the collection cup, in the possible situation that the water level of the sump suddenly exceeds the level necessary for its operation or in the event that the air inlet is blocked. As the water level within the skimmer body rises, the air supplied to the pump is automatically turned off to reduce the chance of over-foaming into the waste cup.

The new skimmers also include maximum and minimum level markings to facilitate installation.

The "double base" design allows water to exit the skimmer body into a vacuum inside the foot base and into the integrated level adjustment tube and emergency overflow tube. This new design feature means that water will exit the skimmer body at the lowest point, reducing noise and turbulence within the skimmer body.

Due to debris buildup and calcium carbonate, pumps typically have to operate in a harsh environment and must be cleaned periodically to maintain peak performance. With this in mind, Deltec has incorporated a quick tool removal system for the pump that allows for easy assembly. In testing, Deltec has been able to remove a pump for cleaning in less than 20 seconds , meaning less maintenance time and more time enjoying your aquarium.
