The substrate is an important part of the aquarium design, since many animals bury themselves and look for food at the bottom. On the other hand, plants must also have a secure hold on it and be able to absorb nutrients from the substrate with their roots.
It is only recommended to use a bottom heater with medium fine to coarse substrates, as water cannot circulate well with very fine substrates.
HOW TO USE
Rinse the substrate under running water to remove excess dust caused by transportation. Pour the substrate to stimulate plant growth on the nutrient substrate (JBL AquaBasis); apply about 6-8 cm so that the vegetation grows vigorous and abundant.
The appropriate amount of substrate: [length (cm) x width (cm)] / 140 = kg of substrate with a thickness of 5 cm.
CHARACTERISTICS
- Perfect support for plant roots: substrate for marine and freshwater aquariums and terrariums
- Vigorous plants: prevents humus and other waste from penetrating thanks to its fine granules and compact structure
- Ideal for fish, invertebrates and plants: It does not release unwanted harmful substances into the water. The fine, rounded granitic sand does not harm the sensitive barbels of bottom fish
- Not recommended for use with underfloor heating cables
