Manual dosage tables

At Cetamar we know that all tanks and aquarists are different, there is no one size fits all. For this simple reason, we bring you a range of products that suit both hobbyists and advanced aquarists. Most of us fall somewhere in between, Coral Essentials has everyone covered.

The dosage of our Power Trace range is determined by the amount of SPS hard coral in your aquarium. Although your aquarium may be full if you are not SPS dominant, the dosage of Power Trace A, B, and C will need to be reduced. See the tank images below for approximate densities of the low, medium, and high SPS dominant systems. . Also tanks with only SPS or small Acro Frags are considered low SPS. The same goes for the other minor element mixes we offer. It is always best to keep a close eye on your coral when you begin dosing new products, systems, or the like. Your keen eye and quickly noticing any changes in the coral in your tank is your best protection against incorrect dosing. If you notice any unwanted changes in your coral (RTN, discoloration, etc.), stop dosing immediately.

Dosage outside the following values is the sole responsibility of the aquarium owner. For heavy SPS dominant systems, these values can easily be exceeded to obtain additional positive results. However, care must be taken and very close monitoring of coral and water chemistry is required.

We recommend periodic ICP testing of water chemistry. At a minimum, test strontium levels (for trace A), iron and/or manganese levels (trace B), and iodine and/or fluoride levels (trace C). The same should be done with bromide, boron and potassium.

The dosage of Power Amino, Power Gro and our Black Label "+" products does not depend so much on the type of coral in your aquarium but rather on the density. So if you have SPS, LPS, soft or a combination of all. It is based on the general density of coral present. When dosing Phosphate Up and Nitrate Up, it is recommended to be sure to test phosphate and nitrate levels to determine the conditions of your aquarium. Overdose can cause problems and should be avoided.
