The new bubble plate design allows the height of the protein skimmers to be reduced compared to the current range to allow them to fit in a greater number of installations. The primary use of the bubble chamber is to prevent turbulence from the body and neck of the skimmer , as turbulence can push charged bubbles back into the water column, reducing efficiency.

The air to water ratio is so high that there is an almost immediate reaction with the waste , therefore there is no requirement for the tall reaction chambers found in some low protein skimmers that keep the units compact.

Emergency collection cup overflow prevention system. In the possible situation that the water level in the sump suddenly exceeds the level necessary for operation or in the event that the air inlet is blocked. As the water level within the skimmer body rises, the air supplied to the pump is automatically turned off to reduce the chance of over-foaming into the waste cup.
